I'm not convinced FFXIII won't hit the 360 in JP. And poor people with just an arcade model could still play it.

I'm not convinced FF:XIII is going to be a huge seller in JP. I don't think the PS3 install base is there, and I don't see millions of people buying a PS3 just to play FFXIII. It'll be hard pressed to break a million in JP I think.

OT: I think you are missing the point. I willing to wager that at least half the install base in Japan bought a PS3 for FF13.

EDIT: in fact, I am pretty sure that JAPAN outsells NA in FF sales

If FFXIII remains ps3 exclusive in Japan, then I will go with Answer 1....if it eventually gets released in Japan (like 6 months later) on the 360, then I think Answer 2, 500,000 more copies on the PS3 is more likely.

 If that were true, then I'd have expected the other jrpgs on the PS3 to sell much, much better then they have. 1.5M PS3 owners just waiting for FFXIII should be buying what jrpgs are released on the PS3, but they aren't.
