No ones saying that a price cut won't help the PS3. It certainly will. The point is that for every person that buys a XBox360 that is one less sale for the PS3, since most people do not buy more than one console. If Sony wants to make the most $$ on software sales it is important to have better hardware sales now verses the 360, not verses the 360 a year ago. They do not want the PS3 the be the GameCube of this gen, sales wise. (No I am not bashing the GC, that was my main console last gen.) So Sony needs to think how to improve their sales during this down economy, esp since game sales are at an all time high, so they can capitalise on it. Even if this means biting the bullet and reducing the price of the PS3 by $50-$100 and increasing thier short term losses.
