They made a game which was the second  best reviewed game of all time and sold incredibly well, so why would they want to change everything?

@ peachbuggy, you are comparing a game with Mario in the title, directed towards Wii owners with a game that does not fit the system's demographic, GTA is much better suited on the PS360, which have the more violent games, Wii may have MadWorld, but PS360 have 10 more. It will be interesting how well it sells on DS though

A spin off, yes, GTAV is going PS360 IMO.

I don't know how little GTA fits with the Wiis base. I mean, the Wii one is the closest one to the Ps2 one.

Also, the Wii wouldn't need to be even close to as largely scaled, and could easily have less than 1/10th of the budget (GTA IV = 100M, SMG was 15M, they're not going to make it costier than SMG)

I'd still say that GTA should stay at Ps3/X360 though, as its sales will probably be at least 2x the size over a Wii version.

But heck, why don't they port GTA:SA/VC on 1 disc over to Wii? That would cash in a fair amount...

Oh what the hell, Take2 is probably earning heaps on the Wii already.

Of course, they are happy with the game they made. But that's not the same as not wanting more. If they could make a game on the Wii that sells 3+million and that will make them tons of money, why not make it? Because they already sold 15 million and they're happy with that? I don't think so.

Naturally, there are other reasons why it would not show up on the Wii. And that is the fact that maybe they could make more money by pouring the same resources into other projects. Or that a GTA Wii might be undermining the brand. Or they don't want to (people can be stubborn).

But because they're happy with what they already have? No. Just no.

@ Munkeh111, that's like saying Nintendo should have stopped making Mario games after SMB1, because of it's mega high sales...
Or Mario should not have gone 3D because it was already doing fine in 2D...

@ actual topic, I can see a possible GTA spinoff. GTAV though I see being on either the PS360 or a next-gen (8th gen) console, probably the PS4 or Xbox760 or both.
