Forums - Nintendo - Will Multi Wii Households Become Fairly Common?

I think you should read the original post. He gave some pretty good reasons why someone might have more than one Wii in their home.

I disagree with most of his reasons. In a hypothetical situation, a girl may want a wii...and mom may want a wii. But the boy wants a PS3...

There is no reason why they would have 2 Wiis as the girl and mom can easily share their Wiis and play togehter.

I think the op's take on multi-wii households is possible but a little optmistic , would the average person buy an addtional wii + wii fit to fulfil their fitness needs ? i can't imagine so , has wii fit become that credible a fitness tool ? i think not.

the wii is marketed as a family/socialy orientated product , multii wii households conflict with this.

I see what your saying and I think your right. Especially when the Wii gets a lot cheaper. (if it ever does) Right now my Wii is in the basement, but I'm thinking about getting one for upstairs. Sort of like how I had 3 Gamecubes in my house.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

Not sure, but I know I plan on buying a second Wii when I'm gone for Air Guard AIT, so when I get back, my wife and I will own two Wii systems.

But then, I also plan on buying an extra Xbox 360 or two.

I assumed that a teenager would not want a Wii of his own (but he may play his families), unless he and his friends are like really into brawl. Also an upper income family would most likely have their son if he is into gaming owning all 3 console, while the rest of the family who does not like games as much as their GH/WiiSport/ MK Wii in living room.

I was talking about boys 12 and under, and all girls. I really dont see too many younger boys wanting a PS3 especially since in elementry school the Wii is all the rage. HS is where you have your Murder/Death/Kill testosterone charged haloboys who hate the Wii anyways.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

God I hope not. Wii's huge appeal is multiple players on the same screen :P A nintendo console not geared for a party experience seems shameful :x

From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.

technically you have 5 gamecubes in your house then, since the Wii is just gamecube x2.

Also they did basically give those cubes aways (at 99 dollars)

Well I already have 2 in my house. But that's because my little cousins are here a lot and I don't want them in my room.

Who's gonna buy the boy a PS3? I also think it's more than presumptuous to say that he even wants a PS3.

As for the daughter and mother playing on the same Wii. Just because they could share doesn't mean they'd want to. My parents got tired of us watching shows on their TV so they got us a separete one.

no, people aren't going to buy 2 wii's. You may as well just buy a PS3 instead of 2 wiis, it would be cheaper.
