PETA Loves Fable II

Fable II might not have won many Game of the Year awards, but the PETA liked what they saw, handing the game one of their annual Proggy Awards for being the most animal-friendly video game.

But it's not for what you think.

Sure, the game makes your dog a character central to your emotional involvement, but what the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals really liked was the vegetarianism in the game.

Created by Microsoft Game Studios, Fable 2 is a vegetarian's dream come true. Why? In this virtual fight between good and evil, characters powered by tofu are just as powerful as their meat-eating counterparts—and are more fit and attractive to boot. Featuring a strong pro-vegetarian theme, eating a plant-based diet helps you rack up "purity" points, whereas eating meat makes your character fat and evil. A fun and innovative game, it's also an effective tool that teaches gamers the real-life benefits of a vegetarian diet.

So I guess that means they're OK with you dragging a dog around with you and using him as a weapon in battle.

the food thing pisses me off. If i don't want my guy to get fat i have to buy certain veggies, and can't eat meat which is retarded.

i can understand the pies and what not, but an adventurer fighting/running around killing people with swords in big battles, and whatever magic would do to the body and you gain fat by eating meat? thats the biggest load of crap i have ever seen.

Also fable 2 ranked for me is like a 6/10 becuase of the stupid travel help and yellow trail. Yea you don't have to use them but when there it is so easy to quick travel anywhere and to pop on yellow trail if don't feel like searching whole town or something. And you can't die, you just get a scar and wake up full health. Plus the story was pretty dull as well

I never touched meat in this game...just veggies, whats the big deal anyways? its him eating it not me lol....
through the whole game he stayed fit, didnt want him going obese on me..

okay the benefits of a vegetarian diet... How about the negatives

1. Your still hungry after eating 2 sticks of broccoli
2. Your still hungry after a carrot
3. your still hungry after a salad
4. Vegetables taste bad (well some do)
