Forums - Nintendo - ZELDA:twillight princess or wind waker?

Ooo... lemme see.

Wind Waker barely edges out Twilight Princess for me - The only thing that keeps it from doing a triple backflip summersault over it is the fact that there was too much damn sailing.

I got really annoyed with having to boat for 5-10 minutes from one location to another all the time. Gimme a actual huge world in that awesome style... not just a lot of water!

I remember the first (spoiler) time when I went under water and saw Hyrule castle. I actually thought that I had to solve things there as well i.e. enter dungeons and stuff, man that would have been so cool!

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Twilight Princess. WW was too short.

Can they tie?

They definitely tie. They're both great games and they both offer a lot to the player. I loved the sailing in WW and I loved the horseback sword fighting in TP.

windwaker by a mile, i still haven't finished twilight princess yet and i dont even care if i ever do

I preferred TP, for the darker story and performing actions with the Wii-mote. I loved Wind Waker until that bulls*** where you had to fish for the Triforce pieces.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

Now that I think about it, WW is probably my LEAST favorite of the Zelda series. I was very unimpressed with it overall. It was short, the story was very thin for a Zelda game, and there were no real memorable moments from the game.

I say TP because it had more dungeons and temples. Other than that you can't go wrong. Nintendo does a good job of making each addtion different.

TP. Gameplay wise it's more or less tied. The real tiebreaker for me is the art style. Cel-shading, IMO is not appropriate for a Zelda game.

I would go twilight princess, only because I prefer the 3D graphics over the cell shading, so I never bought windwaker. But I do have the phantom hourglass on DS, I like cartoony graphics on the DS, it really suites it, but I prefer nice 3D graphics on my TV :) I'm hoping the next zelda on the wii goes even harder with the 3D, I want something like a scaled back version of Fable II

WW was 3D. 3D and cell shading are 2 totally different things. Cell shading is an art stlye. 3D is a perspective.
