Vgchartz seems to be way way off. If there is no clear reason for this then Credibility -= 1000;

the has sold like 8.1 mil according to VGC in
UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Scand, and Australia. Countries I am sure are PAL.
we have them at 2.6 million in others and other europe which I am sure some of those countries are PAL (like netherlands, belgium) and others might not be.
Either way vgc has the 360 at over 8 mil sellthough to countries we know are pal, and ms says they have only shipped 8 million. now if that was like a 3 week old number we would be fine, because MS would have sold most of those shipped.

Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

I would assume the 8m EMEA figure is shipped, some of these countries don't have sales trackers, and the figure is through the end of the quarter. The source for the doubling of sales is given as GfK, but no source is given for the 8m EMEA sales. As a boss of EMEA region it would make sense for him to give the EMEA shipment numbers. |

VGC doesn't have separate sales data for all the countries in EMEA region so you're comparing apples to oranges.

I dont see it being off by more than 500k. And others is where VGC has the least amount of resource, Japan is always right, and NA is very good.

Microsoft don't use PAL, they use EMEA, they cover different countries. Australia isn't in EMEA, so isn't included in Microsoft's 8m figure.
jon - That is correct, but the article is talking about the EMEA region, and not PAL which includes NZ and AUS.
The 'other' regions would include Taiwan, South Korea, China, India, and other SE Asian countries.....Taiwan and SK are both rather big into the 360's market for being minor regions.
