So... is it overtracked here??
Maybe there's something I do not understand.

VGchartz numbers include everything outside of US and Japan. Hence...it's called others. Which is why they are higher.

About 1.6m of those sales (i.e. most of the discrepancy) is in VGChartz Others but outside the scope of EMEA. South Korea, for example.
PAL is not all of others.
but yea, I would not be shocked if it was overtracked. It sales increase yoy was nutz, I was really suprised that they seemed to have enough supply to keep up with the yoy increases there.
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
He said EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), not PAL. PAL includes Australia and New Zealand, EMEA doesn't.
Perhaps it is overtracked, perhaps it isn't. But lets say if it was, then how much would it be by?

PAL includes most of all others, it is not just Europe in that, but it does not count places like Korea (?), India, but has the 360 launch there..
Also it is safe to assume that this is a shipped number.

The press release linked above gives Microsoft's definition of EMEA:
I would assume the 8m EMEA figure is shipped, some of these countries don't have sales trackers, and the figure is through the end of the quarter. The source for the doubling of sales is given as GfK, but no source is given for the 8m EMEA sales. As a boss of EMEA region it would make sense for him to give the EMEA shipment numbers.
here it is overtracted, you wanna tell me that vg charts is more accurate than microsoft, if microsoft said they sold 8m then they did.

Did you read any of the comments???? Or are you just deliberately skipping them.
