The article itself says sold...not shipped...am I mistaking something?

Uh wrong, those are not shipped numbers. That is sell through as they are qouting ChartTrack GFK numbers. Even notice the analyst at the end who states he has seen the early numbers and they now have an install base over 8 million.

Yea this analyst is not talking about shipped numbers here.

Yea we seem to have this spot on which is great for our credibility. Good job VGC. Good job MS with the 360 for that kind of turnaround.
but what does GFk consider as europe? Vgchartz includes every country outside of NA and Japan. Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony all have difference definitions of what europe is.

but you should notice that VGChartz uses the word "other" to mean just that, everything else...which includes Europe..the article clearly state all the countries that they included in the data...south africa and UAE were also included
