It needs work, but it could be good in the future.

They need servers. One Home cannot handle every PS3 user. Perhaps 1000 servers? Think WoW.

That's right. Less like a social networking sim, more like an MMO. Let people do other things. Give them trophies. Let them run races. Put in a shooting range. All of this is stuff they could do.

But at the same time, they shouldn't focus on this too much. Let SCE London take care of it, use the other studios for development. If there is a studio between projects, you can assign them to work on Home too.

From a business point of view, they need third party adverts. This will bring in a lot of revenue, some of which they can put right back into Home, and some of which can generally go to the company.

So Gmail has been a beta for 5 years now, what's your point?

What Alpha testers should have caught? Do you even know what were the phases of the Alpha test?

Let Sony release the final version before reviewing it in front of everyone, if you want to report something, do it from the Home interface, that's actually what betas are for and that's the only way Home will get better.

This 'beta' version of home is essentially complete. Sure, things will be added and improved, but it wont be changed significantly. 

The whole beta term gets abused way to much nowadays anyway. 

Ok, well if it's gonna get improved and you don't like it as it is now, just come back later then... Or you could participate in making it better... Think about it...

Game launching needs to happen and quick

what really annoys me is that in every home ad they show zones that dont exits and look cool on the ad then you log in and is the same sad, really sad thing again and again and again. Home needs work? i could shut down the servers free and thats all the work it needs.
