Forums - Nintendo - Can You Express What it Means to You That Nintendo is Back on Top?

I was only Nintendo until last gen who I purchased an Xbox for..uh..Halo..yeah. >> (Big mistake)

Anyway, I've always supported them no matter what and, well, I can finally laugh at everyone who made fun of Nintendo last gen. xP

More than anything.....it makes me happy that Sony and MS werent able to money bully them out of the race. They didnt have to be #1, I just wanted to feel that Ninty was secure to make future consoles and games.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

It makes me...feel like fun is again the main focus for playing videogames instead of the joy of watching the visuals.

Explanation of sig:

I am a Pakistani.....my name is Dan....how hard is that? (Don't ask about the 101...apparantely there are more of me out there....)

Make me need more time to play games. XD

It's not a big deal Nintendo makes great consoles, always have, and for the present moment don't seem to be changing that line of thought, so always will make great consoles. They're an old school business not one of those that sees way to cut corners to turn in more profit, it's one of those that thinks about what the consumer wants thinks about what they're making and gives it to them, and much like Miyamoto has said he likes to see people smile when they play and that line of thinking is seen when you play most of Nintendos games and consoles.

For Nintendo to be on top again is kind of like Karma honestly, sure they paid for their restrictions on third parties in the past even though they were trying to look out for the consumer AKA no shovelware everyone touts about every chance they get, but now they learned their lesson and are showing what people have wanted for a long time, something new.

To make a point before I ramble anymore, it's good to see them succeed, but even in the down times they were making amazing must have games so not much has changed.

I am happy because that means we'll have Nintendo for long long time! a real gaming company back on top

I'm happy that a $250 console is dominating the market and that the people have spoken and will NOT allow $600 to be the entry price into the videogame realm.

That and I <3 Nintendo.

Coming from a PS360 owner who has sold their Wii, I actually agree with you. I refuse to pay that much ever again for a console, regardless of how much I've actually used it (as both a movie player and a gaming console).

i have every nintendo...except virtual boy shudder.. mm and a couple segas and a ps2. my gamecube got waaay more lovin than my ps2 though

8th gen predictions. (made early 2014)
PS4: 60-65m
WiiU: 30-35m
X1: 30-35m
3DS: 80-85m
PSV: 15-20m

The games are the only important things.

If Nintendo being on top means I get more Nintendo games I enjoy playing then it's fine with me.

For the sake of the gaming market, I'm glad.

If Nintendo weren't around, then the market would be in a lot of trouble right now due to extremely slow sales.

Consoles owned: Saturn, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, PSP, DS, PS3
