Forums - Nintendo - Can You Express What it Means to You That Nintendo is Back on Top?

The Gamecube and Nintendo 64 years were rough ones on the Nintendo Loyalists that remained true to Nintendo's systems during those rough years.  So, if you are a person that remained true to Nintendo during the N64 and Gamecube days and didn't gravitate towards any of the other consoles, can you express how the fact that Nintendo is now back on top of their game and on top of the videogame industry makes you feel?

Heavens to Murgatoids.

The company that inspires, invigorates & shows people the reality of their imaginations in their living room itself always wins the so called console wars.

I feel nothing.....Nintendo managed to show people that they must buy the wii.....who am I to feel hate, disgust, happiness & joy

Props to them for that....& they deserve every ounce of this success.

It means that when I got my Nes back when I was a kid, and had playground arguements about who was better (Nintendo or Sega), I was right. Despite all of the things that have changed in this world, something remained constant. It's like seeing a new Rocky movie that was actually good, or seeing a kid playing with a Transformer. It's just a rush of nostalgia.

I spend a lot of time thinking back to my childhood. Little things like this mean a lot.

Well, I've always been a Nintendo fan, no matter if they were number one or dead last. No matter the generation they've always made the games I've always to play.

Its great that they are number one, however, because it means that they have survived another generation and thus they are a step further away from going under, ensuring that they will be around for a while.

The funny thing is that many Nintendo loyalists like me have abandoned the company because of their new direction. In my case, I just followed them and enjoyed whatever they threw at us. Their evil casual games have proven to be very appealing, universal, engaging and fun. Most importantly they have the charm and the polish that made their core titles so appealing in the first place.

So they never betrayed me...

I'm happy that a $250 console is dominating the market and that the people have spoken and will NOT allow $600 to be the entry price into the videogame realm.

That and I
