You just listed a slew of RPGs. That is not the same genre, genius.

Would you like to tell me the difference between Zelda TP and an action RPG? You walk around towns and dungeons, questing, collecting items, killing monsters, talking to NPCs.. the only difference is Zelda is missing everything to do with levelling and skill development.

There are a ton of games that contain all those aspects but they're not considered RPGs. Leveling and skill-development are two of the greatest and most important factors in calling a game an RPG.

This is one of the most basic concepts in videogaming.

Zelda - every single Zelda game - is action-adventure with a few RPG elements.

Public opinion so far in this thread. It looks like the OP is wrong. You have made a bad mistake to make a thread like this in a Nintendo forum.

It's his opinion ,it's what he want to say or explain his feeling to people. So i'll listen to it.

And since he said Z&W got 3/10 ,i totally understand his taste and what he want from games.

But i believe that out there ,there're many games on Wii that may suit to your taste. Please spend more time playing them ,and after that if you still thing Wii wasn't suit you.

You can sell it or do whatever you want ,and go back to play your HD console. :)

P.S. Peace's what we need these day in VGChartz ,so i hope this thread'll end well. :)

What is the point of this? I could easily take qualities and games from other consoles and say the exxact same thing. I could say the PS brand is holding back gaming because it has released a console with the same controller 3 gens in a row. I could also proceed to say something like the only good game for said system is MGS4 and all the other games are pretty much crap or not adding anything other than eye-candy to a genre.

I can even say something about 360 having only one genre of game and playing these games with dual analogue is archaic and should just get a gaming PC and stop bitching about it. I can talk about how lives online community is annoying as hell with cursing 12 yr olds telling me how much I suck at a game.

I can play the game too, I could say all these things. But I'd rather not. And I most certainly wouldn't post something like that in a Microsoft or Sony forum.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

I got Dark cloud when it came out... taunted as the PS2's Zelda.... That game sucked compared to Zelda OT.....didn't even have the motivation to play through it past 5 hours.
That is the only one in your list that is comparable to Zelda. All the ES and baldur or diablo are far far off...

I mean hell, when you play oblivion with arc and bow and zoomed in, do you consider it an FPS???

I guess he must've thought this forum was called "Nintendo Discussion" not "Blind Nintendo Worship". It's an easy mistake to make.

As a PS3 only owner, I've wanted to buy myself a Wii for about a year and finally decided to buy one this christmas. I wasn't going to do this by halves so I bought some of the highest rated games on the system and settled down to what I'd hoped was going to be a few weeks of amazing gaming:

Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda Twilight Princess, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Zack and Wiki, Metroid Prime 3 and Mario Kart Wii.

Quite frankly, I've never been more disappointed by a games console purchase in my life. I'll give a quick run through of the games I've played:

Super Mario Galaxy: OK, this is definitely a good game and by far the best out of the games I've purchased. It certainly isn't game of the forever/decade as a lot of people seem to claim, however. I certainly did enjoy it though, I'd rate it about a 9/10.

Mario Kart Wii: Quite fun for a while. Identical to the DS version in pretty much every way and the online mode is very basic. There doesn't seem to be any longetivity in the single player mode either. Oh, and the character voices are the most annoying thing I've ever heard; 7/10

Super Smash Bros Brawl: Hugely disappointed with this. I've tried playing online a few times and it literally takes about 15 minutes to find a partner. I don't know if it's to do with my level or whatever but that is ridiculous. The fact that theres only about 10 different moves/combos per character is pretty ridiculous too. I prefer my fighting games to have huge move lists and combos to master; 5/10

Zelda: TP: This is alright. I'm going to guess you have to play the previous games in the series to think it's amazing and as this is my first Nintendo console, I haven't. I've played a lot of superior games in the genre, frankly; 6/10

Zack and Wiki: Not my type of game at all. Boring point and click puzzler with a very childish presentation; 3/10

Metroid Prime 3: FPS games are probably my favourite genre and this game did nothing for me. I'd put it on the level of games like Timeshift; 4/10

These games are supposedly the best the Wii has to offer and I only truly agree with Super Mario Galaxy. When I look at the list of games on the Wii, very little else currently appeals to me. I hated animal crossing on the DS, Wii music just looks awful, Wii Fit I know I'll get bored of after 10 minutes.. what else is there?

I'd advise any other HD console only owners to seriously consider your purchasing plans if you want to buy a Wii like I did. I think we've been spoilt. The graphics in general are quite a lot worse than I'd expected on my HDTV and the downloadable games are extortionately priced, you even have to pay to get an internet browser on your Wii it seems.

This is why I find it hilarious that Wii owners claim we should be jealous of your pointer and motion control. Trust me, you shouldn't be jealous at all, we have it a lot better. I can appreciate the fact that it's certainly bringing a lot more money into the industry and a lot more gamers will bring gaming further into the mainstream. As a games machine, its games are failling far short of my mark.

Rofl. Thanks for the laugh! This post takes the cake for most retarded of the week. Congrats!

You just got it and are already complaining about the controller, the games, the downloadable games, online, graphics and even the internet browser. Take it back or sell it and spare me the headache of reading more of your Wii lament later on.

There is leveling in Zelda?

Haha! Classic.

You should at least read about the games you claim to play, before you claim to have played them.
