I also think Voice actors play quite a role for me too. I absolutely hated Baten Kaitos for its atrocious voice acting, and couldn't bring myself to play a game like that without any voice acting, so I stopped playing it.

And I'm not sure I agree with the older characters.

I thought genis from ToS was cool.... And Mithos. I guess the annoying part of them comes from the crappy voice actors, and there's none of that in the VA's from ToS.

As for 6, I was thinking something similar when playing DotNW. DotNW's cutscenes are a step in the right direction. It was no longer just simple animations, they actually moved, and there was some sword fights, etc. I really liked the motion capture, but to me it seemed a bit too normal. I wish they'd use KH animation to make some awesome scenes.

I doubt Emil is the reason for anyone to play through ToS2. It's a combination of Tales fans wanting fanservice (ex. FF fans for Dissidia) and the RPG drought of all consoles.

Well...I don't think anyone really plays a game for one character.

But what does that have to do with what I said? O_o

Anyway, I like Emil. Especially at the end where he gets less annoying (though I didn't find him that annoying. People really were overreacting.) and more awesome.

The final ending scene was OMG <3 (the good ending scene)

And Emil (before his balls drops aka Ratatosk) sounds like a 10 year old.
