Forums - Website Topics - Give high posting VGCharters the power to give 1 day bans?

Nope, not a good idea. If more mods are needed, more mods will be created. Giving someone benefits for having a high post count also encourages spamming.

I understand where you're coming from, but it's not a good idea.

Even stranger, the people for the idea suggest the minimum post count to be a number they have already attained.

That was dumb. This will encourage spamming (to increase post count) and create a chaos.

Formação do indíviduo, transformação da sociedade.

If we do this we should only give the power to certain responsible members, not everyone.

Just make Rolstoppable a sheriff and let him go round up a posse and appoint some deputies. Or in other words:

1. Sheriff Rolstoppable
2. Deputies
3. Posse
4. ????
5. Profit!

Yeah, this has bad idea written all over it. You don't see all the mod reports and silly things people get reported for. I could only imagine what those people would do if they had the power to ban people.

bad idea and seriously what kind of ban is one day.

^I think the point was the ban would be long enough until a real mod came on and could make a more permanent decision about the validity of the ban.

The only thing i could think of would be like a mod intern program. People with a relatively high post count and clean history could apply to be mods. A few people could be chosen and could be given minimal power only to be used in the absence of a real mod e.g. power to give a limited ban or edit inappropriate material from posts. And if they don't abuse their power they would be in line for mod-hood next time a position becomes available. My initial point though, i'm not sure if it's necessary often enough for it to be worth while.
