I've only played Final Fantasy titles, anyone have any suggestions on the next RPG I should try out?

I guess Xbox360, since that's the latest generation console I own. But, since i'm just looking for anything that is a definite must play, then games on the PS2 would be cool too.

Mm.... for the Xbox 360 Star Ocean 4 for sure, when it comes out im jumping in for that game.

And Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria was the most beautiful game on the PS2 last gen imo. :P

If you have a PSP or are planning on getting one make sure you pick up Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness. Its easily the best game on the platform IMO and its taken over 300 hours of my life that I will never be able to get back.

As for the 360, I hear Lost Odyssey is good.

@Vg- Yeah star ocean is a series were you pretty much should play the past games, 3 should be more then enough though. :P

What's the best thing about Disgaea that is taking up all your time?

Yeah, i just recently got Lost Odyssey, still on disc one, but so far im actually pretty pleased with it.

If your interested in western style RPG you can lose your soul to Oblivion, goes now for like 20 bucks new in places. Ive played that for over 140 hours and barely progressed the main story line past for first 2 quests. It can get that addicting.

I also hear Fallout 3 is pretty good.
