This data is from January through October, the Wii was behind in USA userbase from January to June.... so it actually puts the two on fairly even ground userbase wise..... and the total software sales are actually higher on the 360 because of it's headstart.

So yes, the 360 is ahead of the Wii, but it's not despite anything because for this period they are on similar terms.

Edit: NJ5 already made my point against starcraft.

I own an Xbox 360 and a Wii. The way it generally works is this:

- If more than one person in the room is playing games (say, me and my Wife, or me, my Wife and a bunch of friends) then the Wii gets the play time exclusively.

- If I am playing alone, it's probably the Wii

- If she's playing alone, it's the 360 right now (Viva Pinata: TIP). Otherwise, she likes MySims Kingdoms (Wii).

Our Wii probably gets about 50% monthly right now, mostly because of her Viva Pinata playing time (I've been playing PC games while she plays the 360).

Indeed. That's actually very good for the Wii given its userbase contains more demographics... if this survey is accurate that is.

No, no that's not true at all. We use it mostly for the news channel, and the weather channel. Not to mention creating mii's are fun. And the voting channel. That's a big hit in some places.
