Since this game continues to have 12 million people actively playing it, and because I have gotten back in to the swing, I figured it's time to make an official thread to discuss this game. Besdies, there is a WoW advertisement on the top of this page as I type this.

And does no one but me PvP? I'm an arena junkie: I've made gladiator with my main (Holy Paladin, Verse, Korgath US) and 2000+ in 2s with my Mage alt. Any theory crafters out there?

Well the 3 of us have been some very hardcore raiders back in the day, I quit for a year but the other 2 didn't. We have a ver large and high quality network of friends from about a half dozen other guilds so we usually run with them. We do pug some spots in the 25 mans but that's not as bad as it sounds, we usually try to reinvite the good pugs so the number of pugs grows fewer and fewer each week! Currently I'm also one of the best geared tanks on our server (Kel'Thuzad, day 1 woot) so that does make things a bit easier too.

Maiev...yeah. It's a low pop server that's had problems since a couple weeks after it was created. It was made for the release of BC, but there was another group of servers released a couple weeks later. Everyone left, and we were left with a very small population and a horde:ally ratio as bad as 7:1 (or worse?) at one point. I didn't play the game for several months during that time (just got bored of WoW). I still remember one time, late at night, when I was one of 4 level 70's online, and we were all in a group. This was when the server was, oh, about six months old.

It's much better, but we are still fairly low pop, especially on the alliance side. We have one, maybe two guilds that can do 25-mans, 25-man PuGs don't happen. It's kind of sad, but I like the people there, so I stay. There are more important things to me than gear and progression. I like to have fun, and I have fun there, so I won't leave.

And, I don't PvP, at least not on my druid. I might transfer my hunter (lvl 65) and level him up as a PvP character.

You know, it's funny. I quit WoW about 7-8 months ago, while my druid had a ~2100 rating. Apparently he made gladiator when the season ended, but since I never reactivated my account, the pvp Netherdrake they sent me must've rotted in the mail. I actually got an email from blizz recently stating they deleted the most recent one they sent out (since my rating never reset for last season), that was nice for a laugh.

Too bad I won't have the mount if I ever decide to sign back up... it sucks, I always wanted the gladiator title (or some sort of proof) to show off, but my characters (Rog, Pal, Wlk) were always stuck with duelist. I, uh, blame my friends! (Never really played w/ others outside my grp of rl friends)

Anyone else getting ridiculous queues on their server? KT has about 750 queue at high peak hours. Hate it but thank god I at least have some time and no schedules to meet.
