Well, not buying two new consoles and a harddrive for the 360 should be a start to already

Unfortunately I have been exceptionally poor this year, but even so:

I feel the same exact way. I may spend a lot of time replaying games this year. There is only 1 game I decided to buy in Q1, so it should be easy enough to start off with.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Personally, I am going to spend much less on gaming next year, but not so much because of software (I'm very open to the idea of 2009 having more quality games than 2008), but because buying hardware is a one time investment.
I am planning to buy a new HDTV, but I am selling my old TV to negate some of cost for that.

Well new TV is off the table for me. My PC bit the dust Sunday and my replacement ate up all I had saved for a new HDTV. O, well my CRT is nice. 09 is going to be a recovery year for my gaming budget.

I really hoped it was just the power supply, but I went to Frys and got a new one for like 40 bucks. Turns out whatever happened causing the old power supply to smoke. Fried the mother board as well.

I returned power supply and got my money back. Then I went to cost-co and picked up a decent laptop. Not top of the line, but my wife explained I don't need a cutting edge graphics card anymore because I play mostly on the 360 now when it comes to gaming.

I used to be all about PC gaming so it was hard to day goodbye to my old single/bachelor life style.
