And when I first played it I wasn't all that impressed which was one reason I didn't pick up a PS3 to start off with, but today I decided to try out more of the game then just that snip giving it the benefit of the doubt... and it's worse then I remember... honestly I don't know if it's 2 years of MUCH better FPS console games coming out or that everything is sub-par with some things that are in N64 FPS games aren't in this game (like the option to toggle crouch instead of holding it), the controls aren't as fluid as I would like, the visuals... aren't good and I know it's a launch PS3 title yes, but this is coming from Insomniac probably the second best Sony development team they could have made something that looked better then a bad 360 game even if it was a launch title... really there's so many things I just can't stand surrounding this game, I'm going to try Resistance 2 to see if they improved anything... other then the visuals of course which is obvious...

Agreed I mean there were many 9s for this title, and even people saying this is the main reason to pick up a PS3 right now... I mean I feel if you give it a 9 it should at least stand the test of time for more then 2 years... this would have been bad back in 2006 FFS...

Yeah I gotta admit when I first played it after gears and halo 3 I was very underwhelmed by the game. But then i got a mate to play it co-op with me (local) and that actually made it much more fun to play.

isn't it a bit late to rant about a launch title which sequel has been voted GOTY by at least one major publication.

Uhm no... not when I just picked up my PS3... just tried out Res 1... almost wasted my money cause it was so cheap and outright buying it but I'm glad I didn't now... and thing is everyone hyped this game and Res 2 and playing this makes me wonder if Res 2 could really be all that great... I've only heard bad word of mouth about Res 2...

In fact if it was this 9/10 amazing game that everyone made it out to be then it should still live up to this now... but it doesn't so ranting is still allowed...
