Yoshi's Island, time to show it some love. (SNES & DS)

Pacman taught people to run around in dark rooms munching on pills while listening to repettive techno music and for that I somewhat idolise him.

Awesome choice! Beautiful music, too.
Okami, of course:

Okami
To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made. I won't open my unworthy mouth.
Speaking of Yoshi's Island I would so buy a sequel to that.
Done on Wiiware: wii-mote supported, with the same/similar art style and gameplay and the Wii's improved 2D performance...
To think I forgot the Paper Mario series.

Megaman Legends 1 for PS1, it really pushed the hardware with its great 3D effects

Not bad for 1998 considering it's outside environments were fairly freeroaming.

It already has a sequel.
It came out in 2006. You get different powers depending on which baby is riding the Yoshi, and you can use all 5 babies on the box art. And it's about a million times harder.

Wind Waker, Final Fantasy IX, Mario Galaxy, Star Fox Adventures, Seiken Densetsu 3.
Those would be my prettiest games. None of them was a technical marvel in their times (maybe SFA), but they still looked beautiful.
