Why do you say a Sci-fi shooter like KZ2 will appeal more to COD fans, who tend to be into historical shooters, than say Rogue Warriors?

It's worth mentioning that KZ2 will be the only one out of all the games you named to get a 5/5 from OPM...

For starters, I hadn0t heard of any of those games until now, that says alot about what other gamers think. Another thing is that those people owning a PS3 who are buying a F2P are looking forward to Killzone 2 to please their needs, not the Godfather.

Also, I'm not saying these games will be bad, not at all. Just saying K2 has more hype, and in my opinion SONY needs to advertize it more.

RE5 is probably going to control better, and it has coop.  You really think KZ2 will score higher than RE5?  Oh, right, you said OPM.  NM.  And you're wrong, that's not worth mentioning.  That's like comparing a first party nintendo title with a similar 3rd party product on the wii and saying it's worth mentioning that nintendo power will score the first party higher.  Um, duh?

Pete_beast.  You've never heard of fear2 or resident evil 5?  How could you possibly have 500 posts in a gaming forum and not know about those games, yet you know about KZ2?  KZ2 may be getting more hype at the present moment, but those other games (RE series especially) are MUCH bigger games than killzone ever was.  If KZ2 was on both platforms, RE5 would easily be getting as much hype as KZ2.  Heck, if the ps3 has ANY other good games coming out soon, it wouldn't be getting this much hype.

I think people should listen to this post. If these forums were anything to go by then Little Big Planet should have sold 20 million already. The hype almost never translates to actual real world hype or sales.

Eg. Halo 3 got far less hype on forums than MGS4 for instance. Look at the hype for Killzone 2. I'd say it's about the same as LBP hype around here. I expect after most of the people who bought the original think it's pretty mediocre, Killzone 2 will sell average. There will be alot of disapointed people on this forum come Feb/March.

I'll be getting 3 of those games over KZ2. KZ was a shitty game, and now KZ2 is going to be the best game ever, just because it has good graphics? I'll have to see it to believe it. Mafia 2, on the other hand, is a follow up to what I think is the best sand-box game ever. That's going to be aweeeesome.

OPM has given only three exclusives a 5/5: MGS4, LBP and now KZ2. They gave Uncharted a 4/5.

I suppose RE5 has a chance of getting a 5/5, but I say 4.5 is more likely. The direction they've gone in looks horrible. It's not survival horror anymore, it's a zombie shooter, like Left 4 Dead.

But RE5 is the only other game with a chance of nailing that 5/5. And I would confidently predict that KZ2 would end up with a higher metascore. KZ2 will sell more than RE5 (PS3).

Resident Evil 5 has very little hype because it really doesn't look that good. They took away what made Resident Evil special. It is equivalent to taking away all sneaking in MGS4 and making it a full shooter.

As far as I know, where I live, Killzone 2 is not even known around here... And I don't see much hype for the game, reminds me of LBP hype :)

KILLZONE2 will be awesome:) once the ps3 user base increase it will sell very well. it will sell well regardless of the comp surrounding it.
