Forums - Nintendo - Wii Motion Plus

Im hoping someone might know the answer to this, or, point me in the direction of a thread to help me out....

Does anyone know what the deal is with this motion-plus add-on?

I mean, are there going to be games where you have to have it in or to play, or is it going to be optional? I cant imagine the latter being the case, so what are the chances that it will be bundled with games that make use of it?

Cheers guys.

The only thing we know for sure is that it will be bundled with Wii Sports Resort.

There's not really an answer to this, as it's up to the developer.

I'd assume there will be games where it is optional, kind of like Shaun White's Snowboarding and the Balance Board. The game was produced with the Balance Board in mind, but you can also simply use the wiimote. I think this will be the best choice for developers, so they don't alienate part of the wii base, which does not have the WM+ (or in this specific example, the Balance Board).

yeah i suppose i was thinking of games like starwars, where the motion plus would be great, but without would be a bit horrific.

I presume at some point wii remotes will come out with it built in.

Thanks for the info.

There will be some games that require it but will likely include it at first just as many games that required the N64 RAM expansion pack did.

Nintendo claims it will eventually be built into each Wii remote at which point we'll likely see more titles require it.

For the most part, it will still be optional.

Some optional, some required many others will not use it.

For the potential there is the same old video by AiLive ( and WiiSports Resort )
