Hopefully it will be 60 FPS like the COD4 engine allows. If not than lots of nice graphical touches everywhere please at a steady 30FPS.

Wasn't Halo 3 60 frames per second? Why wouldn't they make this game 60 frames per second?

Halo 3 was definately not 60 fps. The game engine runs at 30 fps, why I dunno since Halo wasn't a graphical tour de force. Don't get me wrong, it looked good with it's vast alien worlds revealing some nice graphics during campaign, but after COD4 came out at 60 fps which was a graphical showcase, Halo 3 looked a bit tame. It's levels were a lot more vast in scope than COD4 (which was mostly indoors or building to building) and that might have something to do with it.

Badass- I belive your gamer gard is the poster for hardcore, lol. Gears 2, Fable 2, Halo 3, Unreal, and GTAIV. The top 4 on my card has Gears 2, Kingdom for Keflings, Lips, and Rock Band. Perhaps I need to re-evaluate the use of my 360, lol.

I've been gaming for 16 odd years now. Started out on an old ZX Spectrum when it was on it's last legs lol. Soon enough upgraded to Master System, Mega Drive (+ the awful 32X), Saturn, Dreamcast, Playstation 2, Gamecube and Xbox.

As you can tell I like my hardcore games, though I share it with my younger brother and he uses it a lot more than me especially online. Unreal 3 is just a rent from LOVEFiLM and will soon be replaced by Fallout 3 lol (which will be bought after I'm done with Fable 2).

It sounds like our upgrade path has been quite similar... I still think my Saturn (VF, VF2 and Panzer Dragoon) and my Dreamcast (Sega Rally 2, House of Dead, Virtua Cop 2, Shenmue) were my best gaming days, lol.

I do love my hardcore games, but I just don't have the time any more to play like I want to.  I generally get one playthrogh on Normal and then move on to the next.  I also don't even pay attention to achievements.  The ones I do get are purely accidental.... Hence my gamerscore is *weak* given the number of titles I have played from start to finish.

If you like to rent, gamefly is pretty good as they ship quickly and have a great selection...

I hate trolls.

Systems I currently own:  360, PS3, Wii, DS Lite (2)
Systems I've owned: PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, Saturn, 3DO, Genesis, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, GBA, GB, C64, Amiga, Atari 2600 and 5200, Sega Game Gear, Vectrex, Intellivision, Pong.  Yes, Pong.

Yep I have to say my best gaming days was Dreamcast and before that. Probably cause I was younger and enjoyed gaming more since like you I don't have as much time to play and also cause I share it with my younger bro who as I mentioned earlier uses it a lot more. So the gamerscore and the games being played are mostly him.

But back to my best gaming days, I have to agree with you on the Saturn and Dreamcast. I bought so many games (mostly exclusives or timed exclusives) on both systems. It's just a shame only 10 million of each was bought. So many amazing games yet so few played them. Also I remember just how good I was at games back then. I got so good at VF2 (Akira master), Sega Rally, Street Fighter Alpha (Ryu & Ken vs M Bison!). I'll never forgot the magical NiGHTS and Panzer Dragoon series especially Saga. Then there was Guardian Heroes and Virtua Cop....I could go on and on lol. Shame none of these games can be bought on Live yet cause I would definately buy them all! As for the Dreamcast, I really got into my JRPG (back then just called RPG lol) so Skies of Arcadia, Grandia 2, Shenmue series (I know Yu Suzuki called it FREE)....then there was Code Veronica, Sonic Adventure and loads of others. My gaming tastes went from, platformer and beat em ups (as well as the side scroll variety) on the Mega Drive to arcade like on the Saturn to more adventure and story led games on the Dreamcast.

It's weird cause I remember realising my brother (14 years old) was actually a much better games player than me now (I'm 26). It was a bit strange lol. BTW I'm from the UK and quite like LOVEFiLM though I dislike their High, Med, Low system. Prefered Amazon's numbered system.

I never knew that at all. I always thought that it was running at 60 fps. It plays exceptionally well with no slowdown from me. I guess Bungie did a awesome job with Halo 3.

I'm looking forward to this game. I highly enjoy the multiplayer in Halo games, and I always enjoy side stories that make the overall story more comprehensive. I also personally like the ability to play someone who is not a 'super' soldier and is a bit more of a normal guy.

LOL.  M$ will definitely not let this one go under the radar.

This game is close to release date.hehe

10 more months buddy, this game alone and Halo Wars has me creaming my pants. I have to update this thread too!

The game renders at 60FPS, but it runs at 30FPS. They render 2 frames for every 1 because of the light rendering engine they use for the most part. Its also one of the very few titles that will allow you to play 4 player on the same system. How many other games will let you do that? Even if they look prettier I actually have real friends to play with not just an online posse of people I've never met.

Tease.

It's 4 player split-screen?

win.
