It sounds like our upgrade path has been quite similar... I still think my Saturn (VF, VF2 and Panzer Dragoon) and my Dreamcast (Sega Rally 2, House of Dead, Virtua Cop 2, Shenmue) were my best gaming days, lol. I do love my hardcore games, but I just don't have the time any more to play like I want to. I generally get one playthrogh on Normal and then move on to the next. I also don't even pay attention to achievements. The ones I do get are purely accidental.... Hence my gamerscore is *weak* given the number of titles I have played from start to finish. If you like to rent, gamefly is pretty good as they ship quickly and have a great selection...

Yep I have to say my best gaming days was Dreamcast and before that. Probably cause I was younger and enjoyed gaming more since like you I don't have as much time to play and also cause I share it with my younger bro who as I mentioned earlier uses it a lot more. So the gamerscore and the games being played are mostly him.
But back to my best gaming days, I have to agree with you on the Saturn and Dreamcast. I bought so many games (mostly exclusives or timed exclusives) on both systems. It's just a shame only 10 million of each was bought. So many amazing games yet so few played them. Also I remember just how good I was at games back then. I got so good at VF2 (Akira master), Sega Rally, Street Fighter Alpha (Ryu & Ken vs M Bison!). I'll never forgot the magical NiGHTS and Panzer Dragoon series especially Saga. Then there was Guardian Heroes and Virtua Cop....I could go on and on lol. Shame none of these games can be bought on Live yet cause I would definately buy them all! As for the Dreamcast, I really got into my JRPG (back then just called RPG lol) so Skies of Arcadia, Grandia 2, Shenmue series (I know Yu Suzuki called it FREE)....then there was Code Veronica, Sonic Adventure and loads of others. My gaming tastes went from, platformer and beat em ups (as well as the side scroll variety) on the Mega Drive to arcade like on the Saturn to more adventure and story led games on the Dreamcast.
It's weird cause I remember realising my brother (14 years old) was actually a much better games player than me now (I'm 26). It was a bit strange lol. BTW I'm from the UK and quite like LOVEFiLM though I dislike their High, Med, Low system. Prefered Amazon's numbered system.
