DS/Wii/360 - easy to pirate.... sell craploads of games anyway.

PSP - easy to pirate.... sells hardly any games.

PS3 - incredibly difficult to pirate.... sells mediocre amounts of games.

Also PS2... easy to pirate, sold immense craploads of games (not so much anymore though)

It's simple, PSP is made for a target group, and DS is for everyone (seriously, that's their marketing campaign here)...

Another thing, the UMD, that drive really hurts handheld gaming... Portable is supposed to be silent, have lots of battery life and have quick loading times... UMD keeps the PSP to take advantage of that...

The Anarchyz,you have the best VGchartz Sig I've seen.Galaki,those 'DS owners are X confirmed!' messages are hilarious but I know u don't really mean them.I don't have a DS but I'll get a DSi next year and play pirated games and I'll only buy original games if the pirated ones can't paly online or access downloadable content so the obvious answer which has alreay been stated is dat Sony targetted technological peeps dat want a portable entertainment system while nintendo targetted everyone.
I can picture Babalawos(witch doctors in Nigeria) playing their DSes right now.......
