So, threads have been going around about "Nintendo's quality is decreasing." There have also been threads about the exact opposite. I'm here to set it all straight. Just because Nintendo has been making less games doesnt harm their QUALITY. Nintendo is acutally spending more time on their games, to increase the quality and that's why they take longer to make, this usualy increases Quality.

Now lets take a look at ratings (gamerankings data)

now dont go flaming that im a nintendo fanboy because I'm not. I only own a gamecube because i traded my orange box for it (the gamecube came with 23 games and a few controllers) i dont own a wii and maybe i migth get one because well these ratings are good :) 

So in short, quality of nintendo is rising and quantity is decreasing, plain and simple.

yea but comon no1 can seirously think the quality is going down. new ip is non existant but quality is fine

not the best examples for quantity/quality comparisons.

its a good quality showing, but all those games only have 1 per generation. there was only 1 mario on the 64, 1 on the gamecube, 1 on the wii (so far). same for brawl. don't know the exact pokemon details, got diamond but didn't have one since red so long time for me.

But yea I never understood people bitching about Nintendo not releasing any games ever. They always want a new Zelda every year, or Mario every year and what not. It has never been like that. Go back to your madden, call of duty, guitar hero and others that get released every year. Oh and the same people bitching about nintendo throwing out all mario gold, tennis, party, ect as quick buck bs rehash games.

Sure they may be mario on box so they are easily marketed. But isn't that the job of a systems mascot. Lets see your mascot start doing something. Wasn't sackboy just announced to be mascot. can he do anything but play dress up in commercials.

I have felt for a while that Nintendo was on a role, I have not played AC ever, so I cant speak for that but ever major 1st party Wii title thus far has beaten my initial expectations, especially MKWII and SMG, I was not expecting much from those 2 because I did not like the GC version too much of either.

For me HD graphics are changing my views on the overall game quality of nintendo. I have to look past the simple and cartoont graphics to see the real quality behind everything. And that can be hard!

I got fable the other day and was very impressed, and instantly thought 'THIS IS SOOOO MUCH BETTER THEN TWILIGHT PRINCESS!' and why? because I'm getting a taste for graphical quality and that hinders my view of the fact that TP has a great story line and really good game mechanics.

So after thinking about it I'm back to seeing TP as the slightly better game. But in comparison to HD games, puerly because of the graphics, wii games just look like dodge jobs regardless of the controles.

Nintendo is going down in quantity? If i recall, Nintendo have published more games this gen so far, that they have done in the previous generation in the same time period.

As for quality of comparative titles (personal preference):
SMS MKDD Metroid Prime > Metroid Prime 3
SSBM = SSBB
Mario Party 4 > Mario Party 8

Score from reviewers can use to reference for some degree ,but we better judge it with ourself. Because not everyone got same taste as reviewers.:)

 hmmm, I agree with u on all of them, but I would give the edge to brawl.
