During a recent blog posting at the Official SCEA PlayStation Blog, John Diamonon of Capcom seems to confirm that Dead Rising is on its way to PSN.

The blog entry promises 'A Special Surprise' in the title yet in the body of the post we see,

Oh yeah, there's also a big (sentence deleted by Capcom and SCEA PR ninjas)....Can you believe it? Wow, how can you not be excited about that? I'm just glad that I was finally able to talk about it. It's been a long time coming but I'm ecstatic that it's actually going to happen.

Obviously this little ruse is done on purpose to build hype yet in the comments section John replies to a poster,

And if Dead Rising is coming to PS3 that can only mean one thing about Dead Rising 2... right?

I wouldn't rule that out, but this proves almost nothing.

if it does, which i doubt it will, i hope you guys get the 360 version instead of the wii one

lol! It would be funny if they got a Wii port though.

at this point, unless it costs capcom near nothing to produce the game, it's a bad idea to port it to the ps3. Lost planet didn't do well on the PS3 and Bioshock neither. People who want those type of games got out of their way to have it on the 360.

Game is from 2006. They won't make a dollar off it.

y so late. I thought that when they announced Lost Planet they were going to announce Dead Rising as well, but they didn't and I lost all hope for a port. This is too little too late, unless it's a budget title.

Well Capcom made a pretty penny off of RE4: Wii Edition.
