It has always seemed that way, but is it true?

Square- Final Fantasy

Enix- Dragon Quest

Capcom- Breath of Fire (now they have MH instead it seems)

Nintendo- Fire Emblem and Pokemon for portables

Sega- Phantasy Star

Namco- Tales

Konami- ??? are they left out? do they make Suikoden?

I quess I was just thinking about this the other day, it seems kinda funny how they like to make everything in a series... Even though none of the games are releated at all (unless it is FFX-2 or ToS:DotnW) And it seems really only square makes alot of non-mainline RPGs (Chrono, Vagrant Story, SoM, etc) ok Enix had Star Ocean too.

(just a disclaimer, I do realize that Square and Enix have merged, I was just seperating them for old times sake)

Tecmo? And since monster rancher is dead....they have none.

hmm, yea tecmo, they have gone completly western imo. I forgot about Koie, do they still make RPGs, they did have the Romancing Saga series that was very good. Also who made arc the lad, was thay Koei

 I do not know if it is, dead dead. I just think it has been a while... Like they have not announced they Will never make one or anything. If any of them are dead it is Phantasy Star, I think they guy actually went on record and said that 4 was the last mainline PS.... they made Skies of Arcadia for Dreamcast instead of a PS.... PSonline is not a mainline PS game.

Koei has no rpg series, they have made a couple of rpgs.

Their games do have a hint of rpg in them.....but they can't be called rpg.

Yes, they do make Suikoden...and they still keep making it (Suikoden Tierkreis released last week). They do a better job with RPGs than any other company, I might add
