I too go with both, because you need that sense of childlike wonderment that only playing as a child can bring. A world that is cute, endearing, and friendly, with a touch of fantastic mystery like the worlds of The Wind Waker or childhood OoT. Twilight Princess was all-adult, and the game just felt darker than a Zelda game should. More focus on the terrifying forces of evil overrunning the world, than on the lives of innocent civilians that are being overrun.

However, Twilight Princess's feel of darkness was more appropriate for the grand finale and climax, much as it was in OoT, so such a transition would be fitting.

Honestly, following the model of Fable in this case (and this case alone, many of Fable's better qualities would be ruinous for Zelda) could work best. Make it a coming of age story where we can see Link grow from a wide-eyed little boy into a confident and courageous young man (but not some sort of jaded or bitter campaigner)

Neither. I want a Zelda MMO! In fact, I already have a plot in my head for such a game, if anyone's willing to hear it...

If you seek to eliminate the competition, rob corpses, and generally be rude or disrespectful to others, you will fall victim to the Madness and be a minion of a being known as Seth... If you simply claim power on your own and respect the dead as well as the living, you will have a much harder path to follow, but if you survive, you could very well conquer the evil that is Seth...

I could have pitched that better, I suppose, but bear in mind that Seth is a preliminary name for the villain, and that new storylines could emerge after the initial quest is over... So what do you think?

The gameplay elements... good or evil... is supposed to be like fallout 3 right? (i would say fable II but i haven't played it).

Lol... Seth... that name just brings the image of Seth Green in entourage to my mind, I hate that guy! (funny as hell though).

Also wasn't there a rumour not too long ago that they were playing with the idea of making the main character a 'fake' link, something like he thinks he is the hero of time when he really isn't. That could tie into your version I suppose.
