500k is a good round number, but it'll depend on the budget and at what price the games were sold.
Zack and Wiki really stabilized being that you can get under $20.

I think Wii gamers will be hugely satisfied with the game. (at least those that are satisfied with FPS games like MOH H2 and COD WAW).

THQ declared de Blob to be a commercial success after it had sold only 200k units or so. Blue Tongue is pretty similar to High Voltage in a lot of repects. They're mid-sized (over 80 staff), live mostly on licensed IPs, and use their own propietary in-house engine.
The Conduit looks like it's a more expensive project than de Blob. Blue Tongue never set out to try to make the best visuals possible on the Wii (although before de Blob came out, I'd say the best-looking 3rd party game on Wii was Resident Evil 4 :P). 500k seems like a plausible break-even point. Of course, it will have to do better than that to be a worthwhile investment.

So its all a matter of praying wasnt it if The conduit will hit or not. Its really a matter of gamble. HVS dont have a second chance if this title flops.

A second chance certainly will not come easy if it flops... No matter how good it is, they certainly will not be able to generate any hype prior to release for their next project if the Conduit doesn't meet expectations...

Why HVS gamble with the HD model on the Wii I dont know, It could be much better if they just make a game with improved graphics of COD WAWii with added splitscreen multiplayer and 16 players online, but theyre too ambitious with this HVS what have to do was to pray that this game will sell.

Since when don't sales mean profit, just because I made a dollar doesn't mean I don't want to make two.
Also theirs more to sales than just profit, the more people that own a game that means more people are aware of the product existing, which means mind share which means a spin-off, tie in or sequal could be future profitable ventures.
