Nintendo has tapped the PS360 userbase. Have you ever thought that there could be hardcore gamers that would like to find any game they can to play with their family or significant others and get them involved? PS360 is the wall between gaming with the family. The controller has a much larger learning curve than the Wii-mote.

As a former ps3 owner, and current 360 owner, i dont see the need for a wii. My sister has one

Call it ignorance, but to set an example I didn't know about a single one of those games you posted, and as far as memory will go they will never be refferenced by me because I won't remember them - that is apathy.

As for your post having a wide variety of games is a plus, having many options within the same genres is also important, the only game on your list hat I recognize is Street Fighter which is a fighter and I'm guessing Forza Motorsport 3 is a car racing game - so you may be on to something.

However you seem to be more enlightened than I on the Wii line up so I'd hope you'd be just as generous with what games are coming out as you are with the HD consoles... or is that bias in your post?

Dib8rman: Your post is the very definition of ignorance. You've never heard of Resident Evil, Gran Turismo, or Halo? You have over 2,000 posts on this site, and you haven't even heard of some of the most discussed games on these forums?

This whole thread has degenerated into one gigantic, pathetic fanboy war. What about all the people who never bought a PS1 or PS2 but owned the other consoles? Fanboys will be fanboys. People who hate the Wii aren't going to buy it because of games like The Conduit and/or MadWorld. Stop overhyping those games. You're making the same mistake that Sony fans make and you're going to end up disappointed.

I have all the consoles this generation, and I'm not interested in the majority of Wii titles I hear about. To me, it sounds like a lot of these titles are playing catchup to genres popular on the HD consoles (The Conduit for shooters, MadWorld for gritty action games) instead of actually being able to stand up on their own. HD owners aren't going to buy the Wii for shooters, action games, and RPGs, they have enough already. This arrogance is getting really annoying. Of course you need a Wii to fully enjoy this generation. Hell, you needed a Jaguar to fully enjoy the 5th generation. That's why it's "fully."

Shit, just had to jump in here - Resistance is freggin awful. The Wii already has a better FPS, CoD:WaW.

OT: I don't think the Wii's western support will ever be all that significant. It looks like the people above (Legend, psrock) are only really interested in western games anyway, so they're pretty much out of reach. The "hardcore" who also want to game with non-gamer friends, or are into the more niche Japanese stuff will buy the Wii eventually.

Of course I have, but like I said they wont be refference points of mine - my only mistake in that post was the usage of "never".

Nope I don't play PC games anymore, PC just isn't my thing, theirs a lot of extras that come with owning a PC that I don't want. But thanks for telling me what I will like in the future, I'll keep and eye out for ... whatever that is.

anyway, the 360 still has a a great library of games released in JAPAN this year, what's your point.

1. You should take responsibilty for what you say, then you'd think twice before you speak generally.

About 3: I said I should never have use the word "never" because I could find interest in those games, similarly to me finding interest in MGS4 or Mirriors Edge.
