Forums - Sales - The beaten down King still has a few knock out punches

if you mean by knockout punch catching the 360 someday then yes.. I just hope you dont have some fantasy about it killing the Wii...

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

2nd to none 1st Party Fire Power that's just wrong how can Sony have better 1st party fire power when 9 out of 10 of the best selling Wii games are 1st party titles or exclusives the Wii is the true king of 1st party fire power.

@bigjon - that's it.
@Chris Hu - If look at it in game sales performance then yes, no body beat Nintendo. But frankly, Sony's first party studios are more potent in term of producing hardcore gaming content. Beside the occasional Zelda and Mario games, Nintendo first party output is pretty much casual.

Sony spent all this money acquiring studios that had made proven hits. It is just unfortunate that due to the overly complex PS3 hardware, these studios spent too much time and resources trying to figure out the hardware resulting in much less time on making the game they want to make. If these developers were given a chance to develop for the less complex 360 or Wii, I suspect the number of hits they produce will jump several folds.

To show that the Sony's 1st party firepower comment has merit, I borrowed this from another thread.

 Nintendo isn't one big monolith, you have individual devs, like Retro, EAD, HAL etc

Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

@Avinash
thanks for pointing out Nintendo does have sub studios. I have not heard of them before however.
