Great news, but I'd focus more on Wii and X360 if I were them.

 Why not PS3?

The psp has a 43million install base, and the ps3 a 20 million, and the ps2 a 140million according to sony back in E3.

psp=ps2=in strength

I dont see why they would focus more on the XBOX 360 with 26million?

If anything it would be PS360 since together its around 46million consoles, and the wii is nearing that.

I used the word focus; as in create the games for either the Wii or the 360 and then capitalize on PS3 if they went the HD way. Prioritize their efforts in other words.

Weird thing is Capcom's games that released at the same time on both Systems ends up selling more on the PS3 so maybe thats where they should be really focusing on PS3 and Wii since its raking in the most profit for them

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

So in Japan, local multiplayer >>>> online, apparently...

Check local multiplayer support, DS still way ahead of PSP.

In what way? Go on...

In most obvious way... games, more games support multiplayer options.

But if they aren't properly built around it, it's useless.

There were rumours of a portable DMC... Wonder if that's what they're talking about?

@Star Scream

Why do you call MHF on PSP multiplayer games? Never understand appeal of this kind of games without fully functional online play, ad-hoc... that's just not enough. I'll give a try on Wii, though. Do MHFU support WiFi or ad-hoc party again?
Monster Hunter Unit supports both Ad-hoc and wifi. You will however have to be near a ps3 as it will work like the Wi-fi max. Another thing many americans don't realize you can do. With the program Xlink kai and a periphiral called wifi max you can play every single WIFI psp game as if it were in infrastructure and use you're computer keyboard to communicate.

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2

@soulsamurai

Good news, thanks.

@ mai

Have you heard of Ad-Hoc party?
