alright, when the wii came out, most people were saying " it's just a fad, it'll wear off eventually" but fast forward 2 years later, the wii sales nearly double the Xbox360 sales despite the 360 being out a year first. The question is: Will it continue?

will it continue? yes

will I ever be an owner? unlikely

heck, Mac OS is far superior to Windows and yet it was grossly dominated. Does it make Windows great because it has 70-80% of market share?? Well, that's a truth you have to find out for yourself.

Does anyone care whether kingofwale will be an owner or not? Even more unlikely.

Will kingofwale stop trolling and posting offtopic at the same time? Same as above :P

OT: Yes, Wii sales are unstoppable for a few more years at least.

Wii console sales must eventually end; all console sales do. The real question is when that will happen. The people who proclaimed the Wii a fad took "eventually" to mean "soon," and that hasn't proven to be the case.

As it stands, the Wii is tracking a curve not unlike the PS2's, though a week of Wii sales beats the corresponding week from the PS2's life about 80% of the time. My guess is that this will probably continue throughout the Wii's lifetime.

Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.
