I am currently writing my diploma theses about In-Game-Advertsing and deperately need data which gives me the overall market share of consoles vs. PC games. I have the ones for germany and US but no global ones. At least I need the ones for japan. Searched 40 sites here, but could not find wha I need

Could anyone provide me with a serious source?

That is fairly hard data to find. Very few people are willing to take on the mammoth task of tracking PC games, and online distribution is making it even harder.

But you can be sure that Japan is more console (and handheld) oriented than either the USA or Germany

Thanks I now, even in US the console market is bigger (way bigger), but I need 2hard" figures for my diploma. At leat at your site there is data for all consoles, so there must be some with PC addional. No one else, please?
