Wiimote and nunchuk FTW!!!!!

I use GC, but if you've never played the gamecube game then you'll do just as well with Wiimote+nunchuck

I use the GC controller and it works great, so I would recommend you getting one. Then again, I never even tried any of the other controllers, so I can't use them for comparison.

I use the Wiimote but that is the worst way to play it. It is harder to do some moves and you react slower. I just do it because I am lazy.

Im a classic control man, but I dont mind mixing it up a bit wiimote and nunchuk.

I use a gamecube controller, but I'm also comfortable with the nunchuk. I hate the wiimote though, too awkward for me. I just bought a classic controller yesterday, so I'll be trying that out, to see how it is.

Wiimote+Nunchuck. Tried it with the GC, but I noticed no difference in ability level. I did however notice that the Wiimote +chuck is more comfortbale.

Wiimote+nunchuck. When I first got the game I forced myself to play the game for about 3 hours using that control scheme even though of course when I started I wasn't as good as with the GC controller, but at the end of that time, I could play perfectly fine. From what I can tell, either can be perfectly fine, but I like being able to move my hands around/have them apart.

I use the remote+chuck and love it.

I can't stand my hands being glued together anymore. Now I can even play games with my arms crossed.

In the options you can configure every controller to your liking, so you can configure them all and marry them to your save name and then found out what you like.
