Yet another trip to BEST BUY!
I went to the gaming section, and I noticed something.. the store had a tremendous amount of people, and Id say 70% where in the gaming section.
The ps3 section full of people buying games, old people, girls, teens, little kids, etc.. Wii section= same, 360 section as well.
I saw a kid, and he was playing wii, the kid left, and his mom started playing mario kart, and they bought a wii(shockingly in stock ). Another women was playing wii sports, bowling and golf, she loved it, she was with her boyfriend or husband, they bought a wii.
I saw an old man, he bought a ps3 because it played blu-ray discs, there was a women she was around 20-25, she bought guitar hero ps3, and a 160gb PS3.
360 section full of teens, buying a bunch of 360 games, and full of 30-50 year old men, and lots of middle aged women, buying games, and 360's (no arcades in stock).
The point is, there was barely anyone in the movie section, heck there where more people in the Computers section than in the movies section, a ton of people buying HD TVs though.
Even more, I think sony and microsoft did very good in making the consoles dvd players/multimedia consoles. A man bought a psp because of its move compatibilities, and MP3, im sure he will play the games.
Guys, the point is, I think GAMING is becoming more mainstream than ever before, its no longer a guy thing, or a nerd thing, or w.e
Its turning into a common source of entertainment, eveyryone is into it, because there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Can you believe there where more than 6.5 MILLION gaming systems sold last week?
