GC couldn't even handle Wii Play, and neither can PS3 or 360. I don't know what any of you guys are talking about. Wii is the only truly next-gen gaming experience.

Did you even look at the new pic? Look at it again then try and make that same statement again.
The rEVOLution is not being televised
The Wii is the GC Avenger, just as the DS is the N64 Avenger. All the neglect those systems got is being flipped around. The DS had slow support, at first. The Wii has more reluctant support, but those ignoring it are having money troubles. Those embracing it are doing well.
So not only is the Wii getting the sales denied the GC, those denying the Wii the support they denied the GC are finding themselves in a lot of trouble (with some exceptions).
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

No no no :) DX7 actually, with some custom stuff in there. No programmable shaders, only fixed pipeline and texture stages with indirect texturing to do nice effects like bump mapping, normal mapping and emboss mapping. It's really frustrating when reviewers compare Wii version of games vs XB360 and PS3. Wii has ooooooooooooold graphics hardware (the same as the GC, just overclocked).
IMO comparing the Wii to the GC is an insult to the GC. I really enjoyed the GC and so far I'm not really enjoying the Wii.

Source please? I haven't seen any GC game with similar shader effects to what Super Mario Galaxy has. Then again I didn't own a GC so you could be right. I just doubt it.
