Most of these predictions were made by firms who were involved in the whole financial industry meltdown. It shows you exactly how much they DON'T know industries out there at all. You can't be THIS much off, unless you don't have a clue.

Maybe I should get in the prediction business. I at least would of gotten the order right, and felt the Wii would of been on top, mainly due to price.

At this point yeah...but back then I don't think anyone on a site like VGchartz would even think Wii would be ahead of the other 2 by this margin.

I think it was iSuppli. They had a graph with the Wii and 360 unselling so the PS3 could narrowly win.

Actually there was one prediction which got it spot on. I dont have the link atm but it was a april fool prediction by gamespot. Kinda ironic the only prediction that came close was the april fool joke. I'll post if i can find otherwise someone can probably beat me to it.

Some of the predictions Viper posted were made after the Wii launched.... some of them as late as 2008.

The same predictions are so boring... The crazy ones are where it's at, and you all suck for this thread!

I came into this thread thinking it was for the craziest public predictions. Just because something turned out to be untrue does not make it a crazy prediction. A crazy prediction two-three years ago would have been to say that Wii would hit 50% marketshare in 09.
