Sonic Unleashed was my first 3D Sonic game and was it a piece of shit. Normal Sonic levels are fun but the frustration you build up playing those shitty as Werehog levels cannot let me enjoy this game.

So is Sonic and  The Secret Rings better than Sonic Unleashed? Did I make a mistake?

I haven't played Secret Rings in a while, so I can't remember if it is better or not. The gameplay is significantly different though, so don't expect a bunch of levels like the day stages in Unleashed. Either way the game is fun and if you like Sonic, I'd recommend at least renting it.

i prefer sonic unleashed, yeah the wolf parts are crap but the sonic levels are the best in all 3D sonic games, i didn't like the controls of sonic and secret rings, i hated the tilting controls implemented in sonic and secret rings, and it felt like you was not in control.

Havent played Unleashed but Secret Rings is the best 3D Sonic ive ever played, yes better than Adventure (the first one at least). Its a really fast and fun game, and its super cheap, so go buy it!

If you hated the speed levels of Sonic Unleashed, then you'll probably hate Secret Rings. If you loved the speed levels, you'll probably love Secret Rings, as that's basically what the game is.

I like Unleashed much better than Secret Rings. The controls are perfect for Unleashed (but I hate all the motion combat for the Werehog), whereas the controls are spotty for Secret Rings (especially "reversing"). The camera is also quite poor at times ( I remember a couple dinosaur chases that were bad).

However, for a $19.99 game, it was quite enjoyable, so if you do find it for cheap, don't hesitate to buy it.

Sonic Unleashed on xbox 360 is in the top 10 games of this year. Wii version is just as good... Sonic and the Secret rings I own as well and while its a lot of fun, it doesnt have the same scope as Sonic Unleashed. It tries to acomplish less and possibly succeeds better by doing so.

I like Unleahsed better as Sonic and the secret rings feels like a bunch of mini games to me.
