some people here complain that the wii will not have the market share that the ps2 had so what? the wii already did way far beyond than what ANYONE expected even nintendo. for a console that came from last place the last gen and less than 20%a 50% is a great achivement. it already doubled the gamecube sales. and it is not going to be forgotten.

of course the wii will not have ps2's market share, it will surpass it...

It won't. The 360 and PS3 are selling far better than the Xbox and GC.

And the Wii is selling far, far better than the PS2, so what's your point

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

My point is that it's still not good enough.

How can you tell?  It still hasn't reached a point where it isn't hit by sevre supply constraints in some areas.

When it's not, then we can talk. I'm talking about right now.

Yeah actually it is, Wii is selling very far ahead of the PS2 at this point, pretty much equal to what the 360 and PS3 are selling ahead of the Xbox and GCN

So your saying that....

Game Cube sold 1 unit which means;
Xbox sold 1 unit which means
Ps2 sold 3 units, (Not counting sales after GC and Xbox were discontinued)

So the Game Cube and Xbox total to 2 units sold for every 3 units of PS2's sold...

In turn the:
(third place consoles)
Game Cube sold 1 unit to every
PS3 which is selling 2 units in the same time.
(second place)
Xbox sold 1 unit to every
Xbox360 which is selling 2 units in the same time.
(first place)
PS2 is selling 3 units to every
Wii which is selling 6 units in the same time?

Of course that isn't specific but that still comes back to 1:1:3

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

The Official Huge Monster Hunter Thread:

The Hunt Begins 4/20/2010 =D

I don't care about marketshare as Wii have zero game I am into until a true Wii Zelda is released.

I have over 50 x360 games and 5 PS3 games, that is all that matters to me. My freaking Sega Saturn has better games than the Wii.

It could sell 2 billion and I wouldn't care.

If you dont care, why do you post in a thread about Wii marketshare, that's logically flawed to some extent.

Super Mario Galaxy is as good if not better than any game on either the 360 or PS3. It should be a required study at those game design colleges for future game designers based on its level designs alone.

I always find the "I hate Nintendo! Expect Zelda or Mario or Mario Kart ..." funny

Exactly which system do you think a new Zelda would end up on? The PS3? 360? Obviously if you have any interest in that franchise you will sooner or later (like everyone else) have to buy a Wii.

Better than ANYONE believed?

I daresay Nintendo has dissappointed John Lucas.
