Graphs aren't needed to demonstrate that Nintendo isn't the developer that they used to be. This is the first console generation that I didn't pick up any Nintendo system however it is not due to a lack of quality, it is due to a lack of originality. I don't want to see the same recycled ideas from previous console generations spiced up with a new controller. I want genuinely new gameplay mechanics and genre expanding ideas from the developer that is fully capable of doing so.

Well i dont want to sound rude, but on the 360 and PS3 you get the same recycled ideas from previous console generation spiced up with better graphics.
Wii provides a chance for developers to create something new and innovative, and provide more ambitious games with lesser budget, some of them do take that chance, some don't 2009 lineup looks impressive. Nintendo itself have released some great games this generation (they ares still THE best 1st party studio) with amazing controls (MP3 for example) they also attempted to develop new ideas (something that you're looking for right?) Wii Music, Wii Fit (look how much innovation this opens up, and how cool is Shaun White with it) maybe they do not appeal to everyone but they are something new.
Nintendo product quality is not going down, they still do make excellent games.
