The only reason that Mario Kart Wii sells so well is because it is the only good game on the Wii. :p

If you think that, then presumably its the only Wii game you play, and therefore you get practice playing it.... if so why do I still beat you all the time.

I don't know. It also confuses me that I have a higher VR than you.

Well I never bothered trying to get to 9999.... I just slowly had the odd random online race.... Cougarman however can confirm what happend to drop me from 9880 or wherever I was, because he was watching.

It was early December, the night was cold and harsh, I had just finsished hosting 3 Gran Prix in which I think Cougarman was the only other participant (the reason I cut it to Fridays only) so I attemted to suggest to him through the MK room I had open that we should try to have a battle online (rather than 1 on 1) which he got the gist of.

Unfortunatly the first battle it put me in had 11 other players already, so obviously Cougarman couldn't join me, when I finished I found him in a WW vs race... so I tried to join him, but when the race started he had disappeared so I was left on SNES mario circuit 3 against 10 randomers, I think I must have crossed the finish line a good 15-20 seconds before 2nd place,... however, once evryone had crossed the line nothing happened, I was sat watching my character riding around for about a minute before it claimed I had been disconnected and took away 400 fucking points.

I was pissed to say the least.

Yeah. One time I was at 9813 and came in first.  Then I got a disconnect and lost like 300 points.  Man.  Was I pissed.  To be honest, having a 9999 VR just looks good.  It's really not worth the pain and suffering that you have to go through to get it.  I'm more impressed with your ridiculous time trials.

PS  You don't beat me all the time.  I don't play you often enough for it to be all the time.
