Well if you want a good gaming PC I recommend the Dell XPS gaming desktop. Don't know what your budget is though and where were going to buy it? Argentina?

Are you on a tight budget or is your daddy rich?

Are you gonna build it by yourself?

Best bang for your buck would mean getting a Radeon HD 4850 graphics card.

That's the most important component, by far.

And welcome to the forums. :)

Few things.

Go with quad core.

Go with a 400+w power supply, and make sure that it can handle a next gen graphics card on its 12v rail....actually, just buy this one:

Vista.

Everything else will just kinda fall into place.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

yes, i think i'm going to buy it here in argentina.. my father's from brazil and he said he has to know the specs first and then we'll see the how much it'll cost.. he gains a pretty good amount of money so i dont think price would be a problem

If you want one of the most powerful PCs without having to bother about over-clocking ("a build yourself PC" all parts fit together):

ASRock P45R2000 (Intel Socket 775 motherboard)

Corsair CMPSU-750TXEU 750W (ATX power supply.. perhaps a bit over-powered)

Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3,16GHz Box (Intel Socket 775 CPU)

RAM DDR2 PC6400/800MHz CL5 2x2GB (memory)

NZXT Hush HU-001 (Miditower chassis)

ATI Radeon HD4870 X2 2GB (GPU)

Samsung SH-S223F (DVD-burner)

Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3500320AS 32MB 500GB (3,5 inch S-ATA HD)

Some quick questions.

1. Whats the highest temperature you could expect to get in Summer?

2. Does it need to be quiet?

3. What size monitor are you going to use?

4. Are you into strategy games or shooter games?

5. If something breaks down, will you be able to return the parts for repair/refund?

6. Do you want high quality visuals or does that not matter for you so much?

7. Between a prebuilt gaming PC, semi-prebuilt (You add graphics card) or completely home built machine, prebuilt is easier but more expensive. Home built is cheapest but the most hassle.

8. We need a rough budget, in U.S dollars. $600? $1000? $1500? Does that include monitor?

Tease.

Will you be building it?

Squilliam,

post a rig with an AMD CPU. I hate myself for posting one with an Intel. :/
