I don't know about Blockbuster online, but renting BluRay movies from Blockbuster stores costs more and having the option to rent BluRay movies from NetFlix costs another $1 a month.

Blockbuster is one flat fee I know cause I have it.

Blu-ray movies $10-$15 really??

Where?

Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, Movie Trading Company, any brick and mortar place really. They do usually have sales and deals going on to make them affordable, but for the most part, they are $10-15 more than DVD's.

DVD's are usually somewhere around $19-24 while BluRay movies new at full price are usually $30-35 (so I guess that's $6-15 more). I see the occasional really bad movie for $24 but that's because it's the occasional really bad movie and the DVD is even cheaper.

If you pay more than $5 or $10 (At the very most for a movie you really want) then you're retarded, you should never pay $15 more for a BD movie, I just paid $5 more for a BD box set (Band of Brothers).

+shipping.

Well, unless you pay $75 for Amazon Prime and don't mind waiting two days.

Never paid shipping from Amazon, just choose the free shipping option (I think you might have to order more than $25 worth though).

I didn't you could find random sales on movies, in fact, I mentioned that's the only way I buy BluRay movies.  Retarded or not, unless you find a random sale on BluRay movies, they are generally $10-15 more for a movie and usually about $30 for a series.

And I refuse to pay more than $25 for a movie so why would I spend more than $25 for the free shipping?  Yeah, that works for series and boxed sets but not so great for movies since I don't buy multiple movies at a time.

-edit-

Also, Band of Brothers is a bad example since it's been marked down to nothing in just about every store imaginable.  That's like saying you got a good deal on Buffy Season 1 because you got it for $15.

(and don't get me wrong, Buffy is the shit and I have the whole series, it's just not impressive to get it for cheap)

I see BR movies on sale from $24 to $44. I have a monthly plan with Blockbuster and BB doesn't charge me any extra to rent BR movies.

2. Do trophies work pretty much just like trophies?

3. Do any games support over 4 players one one system yet? (I don't think...)

I don't pay more than $15 for a movie but I will buy 2, 3 movies at a time.

Band of Brothers is a great example as it's been marked down everywhere and therefore it's only $5 more expensive than regular DVD thus proving my point.

TDK = 14.99, 20.99 (2 disc) on DVD, 23.99 (3 disc) on BR on Amazon

Wall e = 14.99, 22.99 (3 disc) on DVD, 24.49 (3 disc), 21.49 (2 disc) on BR on Amazon

Transformers = 20.99, 24.99 (2 disc) on DVD, 19.99 (2 disc) on BR on Amazon

Resident Evil Degeneration = 19.99 on DVD, 19.99 on BR on Amazon

Band of Brothers = 32.49 on DVD, 37.49 on BR on Amazon

Again if you pay $15 more for a BR disc, you're retarded.

Someone must buy them for that price because people continue to stock them at that price.  Call them retarded or whatever, someone merely asked how much more BluRay movies are and I answered.

I agree that Amazon has the best prices and they always have deals but most people aren't like you and have the luxury of spending $40-60 on movies at a time and most people don't enjoy waiting 2-5 days for their purchases.  For those people, they get to pay the non-Amazon prices.

Then of course there are those people that can't or won't shop online for various reasons.

Then lets not forget that entire 35+ generation that just doesn't know to use Amazon because they don't know the internet.

Thanks in advance!

1. Make sure you don't have this nasty message on your box:

2. Like achievements? Yeah.

3. Not sure - never played more than one player on my PS3.

4. Yes - the PS3 rocks with USB keyboard support - or buy the keyboard attachment for your Sixaxis or other controller.

5. I have a Blockbuster Combo Pass - it's $23 a month, and I can rent games and Blu Rays. One at a time, but I can keep them as long as I want.

ARGH! Just checked my box... Don't have it >_<...

And I was actually hoping to get into MGS...

oh well... I guess I'll just pick up a used PS2 from GS or Ebay someday... or maybe emu software will be available for the PS3...
