These guys are the so called "proffesionals" and just look at all the bulllshit they say. I stopped the podcast afterwards.

IGN has been pretty big on the Wii bashing lately also. Craig Harris (Matt barely) are probably the only voice for the Wii at IGN.

Edit - My main point is not to neccasarilly defend the Wii but to point out how fucked up video game journalism is. These are the professionals in the industry we love and yet they all sound no different than the people on our boards.

I expect maturity and respect from out "professionals" but of course Im wrong. Im still waiting for the video gaming industry to grow up. I have a feeling its going to take a long time.

Yes, it's not very professionnal, but I agree with em. Now, we can say nothing, every game is great, every console is great, blablabla...

Video game journalism has never been great, this is just them showing their capacity as fanboys outside of the "system wars".

It's a harsh reality, but it has been this way for a long time.

It's a common sentiment amongst game "journalists." They tend to have an extremely high concentration of the snobcore, which surprises me quite a bit. Still, don't let it get to you: they're becoming increasingly irrelevant as time passes, so just sit back and enjoy the ride.

I cant its all SAID on their  podcast. Youd know that if you read the OP. They are most 2 hours in length and Im not going to pinpoint every last comment. Download their latest podcast and their some comments in their in the first 20 minutes.

I've boycotted 1up many moons ago. To me, they are BY FAR the worst gaming site out there.

Sure, the Wii may not have had a banner year in the games department, but it wasn't horrible in the least. If they seriously wanted to name 5 very good games, it wouldn't be hard at all. Here it is:

And you know that there are so many more. I just don't get how people (espcially the media now) jump all over the Wii. Apparently, it's the cool thing to do. Some people on this site aren't any better. Bash the system for its lack of "quality" games but haven't even played it at all.

Blah.... that's my rant.

They are scared and unintelligent. It's a bad combo, but on the other hand it shows us their true colors. The people that used to run this business are going to be marginalized, and as stupid people do, they try to use what they got to fight it, instead of adapting. It'll only hurt themself in the end, as they will be left behind, and considered unwelcomed nerds in the future.

and the part about DQ is absolutely horrible, they obviously know nothing about DQ.
