I am planning on buying my wife a Nintendo DS lite very soon for her birthday.  I was wondering where all of the deals are at for the united states?  I don't mind if I have to get them online or how long shipping takes, since her birthday is several weeks away.

I also plan on buying a few games for her as well but I don't know whats out there to get.  She likes puzzle games and stuff like Tetris, bubble burst, and card games.   If you like you can list your top 5 DS games you enjoy as well, I may want to pick a few up for myself.  Any info would truely be appreciated, thanks in advance.

For the unit itself, you'll have to try Amazon/eBay, I think. It's rare to see a retailer selling a new one for less than MSRP, especially around Christmas.

I think I checked that thread out already, however it didn't seem to include a lot of Puzzle games but consisted mostly of JRPGs. Not that JRPGs are bad, thats just not her thing.

Keep in mind that N+ is just as much platformer as it is puzzle, though: buy it for yourself, but don't get it for her if it's not her genre. Also, Meteos II is not as good as part one.

I am looking for a new DS since some weeks and I looked a lot at US shops, because it costs only half the price it does in Germany. Though now around christmas it will be hard to find it in stock, but maybe you can try www.play-asia.com, though they had really empty stocks last I checked. Else I can only agree with noname2200...
