Forums - Sales - LBP and the concept of ''legs''...

ratchet and clank and uncharted... those have great legs in comparison with their first weeks sales...

I'd say a game with a lot of legs is an unbundled game that manages to see LTD sales in excess of 10 times it's opening.

Wii Play, Fit, Carnival games, and Game Party would all be great examples of it on the Wii.

The X360 has had a few like that recently - especially their Singstar (a very leggy game) ripoff 'Lips'.

That's an interesting definition. I agree with that one too.

Legs are very difficult to define by one particular barometer.

Could one say Halo 3 has legs? It's been out for a year, and sold 70,000 copies last week....On the other hand, it's still under a 3x multiplier from launch.

Mario & sonic at the olympic games comes to mind

New Super Mario Bros. is bundled too.

Generally bundled (ala Wii Sports) or seasonally?

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

If it manages to sell in the Top 50 in normal times (not in Christmas rush) I would say it haves good legs.

Bitmap - Seasonally. Some stores may pack it in, but it's NOWHERE near the level that Wii Sports is bundled in the West.

I've never seen a NSMB bundle, myself. In fact, I rarely see any DS bundles outside of the "$200 gets you a DSL and these 3 awesome games!"

Good point of view, IMO. I think good legs can only be defined in comparison to first week sales of a game.

Hmmm not sure about this one but it still bundled.
