Actually Wiimusic is very good from what I hear. It is just the negative hype from IGN and such getting you down on it. Also, MK is the best MK game for a skilled played since SMK. It has less luck involved than DD and MK64(the worst imo). Dont forget the bike, they change up the gameplay quite a bit without being unbalanced. The Wheel is terrible for any heritage MK player... It is for the new people to the series, I see alot of people that are new to gaming liking the Wii wheel the best. Also the game works quite well using the wiimote and nunchuck, my bro who has played all MK too, actually likes that over the GC and Classic controller. I say, give em more time. For me, if they jack up Zelda... I am out. They Nailed Brawl, FE, and SMG, so I have alot of hope (plus they have been developing the game for like 2 years already, and we are a minumum of 1 year away....)

 

I don't think there is ANY way Nintendo would make that mistake... If they do, however, there are going to be a massive number of Nintendo loyal that ponder their faith in all things Nintendo...

Wait. You say Nintendo is not trying new things, and not trying to innovate, and taking easy cash ins... then you name one of the newest games, that at least tries to do something completely different? Whether it's your cup of tea or not doesn't matter... the fact that people are buying it shows that it's more than just a turd.

Also, I'd like to see any other company turn out as many AAA titles in 2 years, even if we just go by your belief that Brawl, SMG, Zelda, Metroid Prime 3, perhaps Fire Emblem, not to mention other smaller games like WarioLand: Shake It, Dr. Mario on the WiiWare, Disaster... along with poorer (but I would assume still rather good) games like MKWii, ACWii, WiiMusic... Some companies (EA...) are lucky to produce one AAA game and a few AA games a year... Nintendo has done that 10 times in the last 2 years already. Give them a break.

And how many companies don't just throw out the same thing year after year with better graphics, and a new name? We get COD every year... We've had 3 or so GH in little over a year... The big games on the PS3 and 360 year after year are sequals... God of War 3, Halo 3, FF13, GTA4, MGS4. Even new franchises like Bioshock are going to turn into Bioshock 2, 3... these games can still be great, and not change anything major... At least Nintendo tries. They aren't perfect, I wouldn't expect every game to be great. I suppose it's not bad to expect most games to be "good enough," which I'm not sure Nintendo has failed at yet.

But eh. Like others said, if you're going to "stop" being a fan of Nintendo's games and/or stop buying them... I would guess you'll just miss out on a lot of great games.

I never said graphics equals gameplay. Don't put words in my mouth as it doesn't help your argument. My point was that they simply didn't make any effort to upgrade the graphics to any significant degree. SMG is a BEAUTIFUL game. Surely AC, which came later, could have used some of the new-found expertise to improve the overall polish.

For those that disagree (and it seems most do). Enjoy your freedom as I do mine. It's a free country.

What in the heck kind of bar are you using for AAA games?  You seem to just be listing every game Nintendo has made in the last 2 years, how are you deciding that they are all AAA?

Considering Zelda is supposed to have been in development since Twilight Princess' release, I doubt it will be "jacked up."  Also, If a bad iteration is enough to make fans question their loyalty than I probably should have left after Mario is Missing.  I also find it odd that you can call a game a quick-buck because the graphics and sounds are similar to the past iteration.

I don't buy guitar hero for that very reason.  I got Rock Band as my first music game.

 

And yes, I'm pissed at dumping 50 bucks on AC:Wii.  Perhaps I'll change my mind after the sting wears off.  Perhaps not.  Time will tell.

I'm going to jump out of this thread.  It has run it's course and few agree so I'm not going to continue to defend.
